What does an envirotech curriculum look like beyond the introductory level?

On a side note, I'd like to hear a discussion of the issue that the ASEH is polling its members on: should the ASEH be held every two years to reduce its/our carbon footprint? (The poll is in on the ASEH website.)

Both of these suggestions are great ideas. Another idea might be a discussion of how to "sell" envirotech courses to our academic home institutions (at least for those of us who aren't free to design courses without approval and funding from the university) as well as to prospective students.

I also hope the lunch meetings will be a permanent thing - I always thought the breakfast meetings were too short.

I would like to find out what types of field trips (if any) people have used with students to engage them in envirotech issues. Where did you go? Did you do reading along with it? How did you integrate it into your course?

I would also like us to think about "Envirotech-sponsored" sessions for future conferences. This is particularly relevant for SHOT conferences where SIG sponsorship carries some weight in getting a panel accepted. What topics might be of interest for the group as a whole? Maybe we can do some topic brainstorming, make a list, and then use the website to vote on them (or something like that).
